The building operates 2 x 75kW condensed water pumps which drive the air conditioning system for floors 21-42, occupying more than 200 apartments.
The original energy demand for Pump No. 1 was some 67kW/hr as a continuous load. After the installation and commissioning of FW’s Intelligent Inverter System, this load has been reduced to some 23kW/hr to adequately service the air conditioning requirements, equating to an approximate saving of 65%.

The energy savings for Pump 1 will vary slightly depending on demand during hotter and cooler months. Notwithstanding the weather condition, the capital payback (ROI) period on the pump motor controller was achieved some 6 to 7 months after installation. With escalations in energy and water tariffs occurring every 12 months, the total energy and financial savings will increase signifcantly.
